David was called to the Singapore Bar in 2021.
He represented and advised investors on equity acquisitions in technology-driven companies and provided counsel to a social media platform on matters including personal data protection, employment law, employee share incentive schemes, and corporate governance.

Before joining Oaks Legal LLC, David served as Legal Counsel at a digital bank dedicated to improving financial inclusion for underserved and underbanked communities. In this role, he developed expertise in governance and regulatory matters, collaborating closely with internal audit, risk, and finance teams to navigate complex compliance frameworks.
Beyond his professional commitments, David is actively engaged in the non-profit sector, volunteering with two charities - one dedicated to supporting disadvantaged communities and another focused on driving community-led climate action. He advises both organisations on governance, risk, and compliance matters. In addition, David dedicates time to provide pro bono legal assistance to residents at the weekly Meet-the-People Session.
