Hweelee Goutama

Hweelee advises and acts for clients both in contentious and non-contentious matters. 

In contentious matters, she has represented clients in a range of commercial disputes and matrimonial matters, appearing in hearings on behalf of clients including court of appeal hearings and has successfully obtained judgements/rulings  in favour of her clients in numerous matters. 

She serves both corporate (ranging from start-ups, small medium enterprises, listed companies and multi-national corporations) and individual clients.

She also advises clients in a whole range of commercial and real estate related transactions.

Such transactions include:

  • Share and business acquisitions and disposals;

  • Mergers and acquisitions;

  • Joint ventures;

  • Debt-restructuring;

  • International sale and supply of goods and services;

  • Agency, distribution, employment and franchise matters;

  • Collective sales;

  • Project development;

  • Leasing (both residential and commercial) for corporate and individual landlords;

  • Trademark registrations and protection;

  • Family arrangement, including wills and related instruments. 

Her approach to matters clients entrust to her is always person-centred and goal orientated, putting her clients interests in the forefront with a focus to achieve the most favourable outcomes for her clients.

 

A passionate advocate of education, she volunteers actively in schools. Hweelee speaks English, Chinese, Hokkien, Teochew, Cantonese and Khek.
